20 YEARS OF LIVING THE RESURRECTION

Almost every week you see something about RCIA experience for adults seeking a closer relationship with Christ through the Catholic Church.  The first memory I have of the first invitation "way back in 1982 was of Fr. Dan McNichol, our former pastor, directing a brief skit every Mass, playing on the word, RITE (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults - RCIA), involving someone looking for the "RIGHT" way to get to know Jesus and the "WRONG" ways he was going about it.  It included, of course, that the right was RCIA... What wouldn't we do to get people's attention!.  A 1,000 blessings to those early organizers, including Pat/George Souza, Katherine Nakakura, Charles Ling, Pearl/Herman Fergerstrom, and Shirley/Ernest Libarios.

** The above are proposed themes for discussion.  Subject to change and desire of the group.  Part of the gathering will be viewing a series on Vatican Council II that features interviews with people who were part of the historic process in the 60s.
